EFT Tapping Therapy
A Breakthrough Method for Rapidly Relieving Emotional and Physical Pain
(Click here if you are wanting to know how to do EFT.)
Are you...
- Struggling with stress, anxiety, or pain?
- Dealing with addictions, traumas, or other major challenges?
- Feeling Stuck? You know what to do but you just can't seem to do it?
The Emotional Freedom Techniques
A Powerful Tool for Relieving Negative Emotions and Pain
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT - sometimes called "EFT Tapping Therapy" or "Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT)") works like emotional
acupressure to quickly, gently and easily release the negative emotions and beliefs that are at the root
of all our problems and pain. EFT heals emotional problems by literally undoing the damage from
the past.
Traditional Psychotherapy vs. The Emotional Freedom Techniques
With traditional talk psychotherapies you gain insights into the causes of your
emotional difficulties and the new behaviors you would like to have. However,
you are left needing to use your will power to try to behave in these new healthier
ways. You still feel the internal urges in your "gut" to behave in the old ways.
The result is an ongoing internal struggle between your gut feelings and your will
power. This is very hard and progress can be very slow, sometimes taking years or even never.
The EFT Tapping Advantage
EFT Tapping doesn't have this problem. After working through an issue using EFT, you come out
feeling different and you actually are different. Your gut is no longer telling you to behave in the old
unhealthy ways. New behaviors are now natural because there is no internal struggle–you have
changed inside and are a different person around this issue. The struggle is over.
EFT is 5 to 10 to 20 times faster than other methods. EFT has been known to only take weeks to months to get relief and experience deep healing,
instead of months to years (or never) with traditional psychotherapy.
EFT has over a 90% success rate (see brief EFT research summary).
EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases for emotional and physical healing (see the following examples):

The EFT Tapping Process
The EFT Tapping process is surprisingly simple. In its simplest
form you just focus on something that is bothering you while
tapping with your fingertips on 10 easily learned acupuncture
points. You will discover that the painful feelings simply
drain away. Negative beliefs lose their power as well. Learn
the details of how to do
EFT.
People often ask me how long the effect lasts. Do
you have to keep reapplying EFT to maintain the relief? The answer depends
on whether you apply EFT to the symptoms
of a problem or the root cause
of the problem. If you apply EFT to the symptoms of a problem without
addressing the root cause, the relief will be temporary. If you apply
EFT to the root cause of the problem, the relief will be permanent.
I have used EFT with my clients to relieve the pain from severe abuse memories in
just one or two sessions. EFT is the most effective, efficient, gentle healing method I
have come across since I started my emotional counseling practice 15 years ago and it has
transformed the effectiveness of my healing practice. EFT often works where other methods fail.
What is the difference between EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and
MTT (Meridian Tapping Techniques)?
EFT is actually a subset of MTT. MTT is a broader term that incorporates
all therapeutic approaches in Energy Psychology that involve tapping on
acupuncture points on the body's energy meridians. MTT includes standard
EFT as well as powerful variations and extensions to EFT. I make use of
a number of creative extensions to standard EFT, and my favorite extension
is called Matrix Reimprinting.
What Professionals Are Saying About EFT Tapping Therapy and Energy Psychology
"I now believe that the most profound transformations can only take place
only on an energetic level. I've met many patients who've spent much
time and money on talk therapy hoping that intellectual insights will
bring emotional freedom, but they're disappointed. As much as I love
the linear mind, my approach which I call Energy Psychiatry goes
further to also facilitate a conscious rebuilding of subtle energies,
the most basic life force in each of us." - Judith Orloff, MD
"Your emotional health, your
success in the world, and your level of joy can all be dramatically
enhanced by shifting the energies that regulate them. That is the
promise of the fascinating new field of Energy Psychology."
- David Feinstein, Ph.D.
"Some day the medical profession
will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main
cause of 85% of all illnesses. When they do, EFT will be one of their
primary healing tools .... as it is for me." - Eric Robins, MD

Body-Centered Gestalt Psychotherapy
Gestalt Psychotherapy works closely with your
in-the-moment internal process. It looks at how your process stops you
from getting what you want and need. It then uses dynamic, experiential
methods for addressing and working through these blocks and stuck
feelings. You end up feeling different because you have changed inside
around the issue or stuck place.
Body-centered
psychotherapies, in addition, operate on
the premise that sensation, breath, and movement are the body's form of
speech, and that if we listen to this speech we can complete and
release stored trauma, relearn how to feel excitement and pleasure, and
engage in activities that nourish ourselves. Gestalt Therapy makes a
wonderful complement to EFT Therapy.
At our core we all have a great capacity for joyful living.
